Blaster ticked the boxes to enter our program with his  flawless eye appeal, overall mass, and his performance to date.  His progeny are breeding true with runs on the board for highly productive, big volume females and heavy, early turnoff males.  

In the USA he ranks in the top 1% for the breed for growth.  Blaster is a good balanced sire that will add power to any herd. 

When we first set eyes on this bull at the Strommen Ranch in North Dakota it was for a friend…  Needless to say he became a must for our breeding program also. 

Torque is perfect for those seeking structure, length, depth, easy fleshing and temperament.

He is so quiet we ran our hands all over him in the paddock.  He breeds this into his offspring also which is super important.  His pedigree is packed with power with a double shot of Right Time and Density to sure it all up.

Stunner is an extremely stylish, well balanced bull.  He has the deep sided and thick topped body shape we desire in a performance heifer and cow bull.  He comes from a super maternal pedigree that will not fail the person who breeds their own replacement herd. His daughters are stylish, roomy with great udders, just the type of cow you love to own.  He isn’t too shabby on breeding thick, fast growing heavy steer calves also.

He is structurally correct to boot.  This is a must for a sire in our herd.  On the figure side his production traits rank in the top of the breed.

Musgrave Apache has a unique blend of style, structure and muscle.   He is making a real name for himself as a cowmaker sire.

The photo of Apache we have here was taken as a yearling.  Even at this young age you can see the smooth muscling and structure he displays.  He also offers the flexibility of being heifer safe with loads of eye appeal to his calves and standout performance.   We are very happy to carry on the Musgrave Apache bloodline in the Eaglehawk herd as the Musgrave cowherd is one of the best we have seen. The replacement females are like peas in a pod and have developed with consistency and style.

BASIN PAYWEIGHT 1682 appeals across the board.  You can’t help but be impressed by his extreme body mass and depth while carrying this load on great feet and legs.  Phenotypically he breeds true, passing on neat udders, easy fleshing and the broody cow look to his females while the male progeny display the easy fleshing and phenotype of their sire in combination with elite growth that makes them so sought after in the saleyards.  Few bulls that are built like Payweight offer calving ease- but he does.

Another  EXCLUSIVE TO EAGLEHAWK – U2 Coalition 206C

Coalition is an exciting new sire. He has been used heavily by Spickler Ranch South (North Dakota) and U2 Ranch with great results. Coalition stamps his progeny with correct structure, expressive muscle and volume. Sons are solid performing, good looking bulls with modest birth weights. Daughters are consistent in their type – deep ribbed, good structured and feminine fronted.

The cows behind Coalition are outstanding.

We are very excited to be able to offer the only calves in Australia by this bull.

This unique herd sire breeds very consistently wide topped, naturally deep, thick carcase cattle. He would be considered an outcross to the majority of breeders in Australia which is a positive.  He is a true curve bending bull as his calves are generally light and then they explode to the top of the group by 400 days.  If you need to thicken your herd whilst keeping the cows feminine (with the added bonus of great udders), Kozi will do this.  We have the only Kozi calves in Australia and he is now deceased.   We really like how he has influenced our cow herd. If you are looking to thicken your herd and inject some strong maternal traits, you cannot go wrong.

The Eaglehawk herd has been injecting the SAV genetics for sixteen years now and with great success.  Using SAV Resource 1441 felt very comfortable as we were familiar and confident with the Schaff program (North Dakota).  We saw Resource in 2014 and really liked him, since then we have seen hundreds of progeny in the USA.  He injects the best of the Rito 707 bloodlines, which we hadn’t used before, and they have blended nicely with our herd. Resource consistently stamps his progeny with thickness, muscle, great structure and feet.  This is wrapped in a moderate naturally easy fleshing and docile package.  If you are looking to add muscle and weight into your calves, this is your bull.  We love the way his bull calves are very muscular and masculine and his females are shaping to be the loveliest females with great udders and broody outlook.

EAGLEHAWK BIG SKY M95 was our sire selection from the 2016 bull calf crop.  From the start he exhibited the type of growth and muscle development that made him an attractive sire proposition.  He has gone on to breed thickness, length and depth in all his progeny.  His daughters combine those attributes whilst being feminine and extremely good structurally.  His sons in the sale are much the same as he is, balancing muscle, and bone in an attractive easy doing package with great structure and athleticism.

M46 is a great Vision Unanimous son that possesses the ability to add shape, structure, length of body and frame. This is kind of bull that processes that “able to do everything well” ability.   He is out of one of our favourite SAV Predominant donor cows.  She is still breeding at 11 years of age.  We rate longevity as being critical for profit and sustainability.  The Unanimous M46 sons will leave you with structurally correct long term matrons for your breeding herd.

Using MAR Innovation as one of our herd sires is a decision that we won’t regret. When we saw him in 2015 we were impressed, but after watching our calves grow out and then seeing him again last year, in Billings Montana, still great footed and sound despite his bulk we knew we had made a good call.  He has incredible body capacity, spring of rib, easy moving, and great feet and legs.  He is an instant eye please. Data collected has him in the top 5% for Eye Muscle Area and weaning weight and top 15% for carcase weight.

Ringmaster carries some extra power, he is deep sided and thich topped.  we selected hi as the high performing growth and carcase bull of his year.  his dam is one of the softest, thickest and most correct females in the herd.  moderate birth weight with top 10% growth performance across the board.  top 15% of the breed for carcase weight and still has fat cover in the top 25% of the breed for that doing ability we so sorely need.

004 was the main bull behind the building of the magnificent Schaffs Angus Valley cow herd. The 004 cows in production there are arguably some of the best angus cows in the world. So we took a step back and introduced him as a herd sire for Eaglehawk. Phenotypically, one of the most balanced sires in the breed with extra muscularity and base width.
