Sires of the 2026 Sale Bulls
Genetic Diversity With Purpose
We have never been interested in following the crowd.
For many years we have travelled extensively throughout North America, investing heavily in the search for genetics that offer genuine value to our clients and our own herd. Much of that journey has taken us to some of the most respected and influential Angus programs in the world.
Rather than chasing trends or extremes, we continue to prioritise strong cow families, practical functionality and long term breeding relevance.
The result is a sire battery that remains genuinely different within Australia, including several bloodlines held exclusively by Eaglehawk and offering valuable outcross opportunities.
Together, these sires have been selected to add strength, balance and lasting value for future generations.

Owned Exclusively In Australia By Eaglehawk Angus
Peak Dot Boost is a sire that has added genuine grunt, thickness and doing ability to the Eaglehawk program.
We purchased Boost in 2020 after visiting the Peak Dot Ranch program in Canada. Their breeding philosophy strongly resonated with us. Functional cattle, strong cow families and no fuss cattle that work under real commercial conditions
Boost himself is a very attractive, robust and well muscled bull with plenty of punch, strong bone and excellent body capacity. He combines structural soundness with natural thickness and softness while still maintaining balance and mobility. . He is a real cattlemans bull, not a pretty boy but the type you would want in your trenches. In human terms he is a manly man.
When not being collected in centre, in Montana, he continues to work as a standing sire within the Peak Dot program, where he is producing very high quality progeny.
At Eaglehawk, his calves have consistently impressed us with their strength, shape and practicality.
Boost progeny are:
- Strong calves
- Wide topped
- Good boned
- Deep bodied
- Thick made
- Quiet natured
- Structurally sound
- Easy doing
They are the type of cattle suited to producing quality weaners, feeder cattle and heavy bullocks with genuine commercial weight and performance.
The females are developing particularly well.
The first daughters due to calve this year are moderate framed, deep bodied and already showing the broody, functional type we value highly within the herd. They are strong made females with plenty of capacity, while still maintaining femininity and softness.
Importantly, the progeny are breeding true and showing consistency across the board.
That predictability and reliability is exactly what we were searching for when we invested in Boost.
Peak Dot Boost continues to leave robust, practical cattle with genuine commercial punch and strong maternal backing.

Exclusive To Eaglehawk
Montana Jet represents the type of balanced, functional Angus cattle we continue to search for.
Jet is owned in partnership with Faith Angus and Nelson Angus, Idaho with Eaglehawk Angus holding the exclusive Australian interest.
While the Montana Angus program is not large in scale, it is built around a concentrated group of elite females with proven maternal strength and highly consistent cow families. That disciplined breeding approach strongly aligned with our own philosophy at Eaglehawk Angus.
When visiting the program three years ago, Jet caught our eye, but it was after seeing his mother and studying the depth of the maternal pedigree behind him that we gained the confidence to invest in the bull.
We were already familiar with the strength and consistency of the cow family, which gave us enormous confidence in the long term predictability of the genetics.
Jet is a powerful, athletic sire with excellent body shape, natural softness, structural integrity and genuine commercial presence. He combines:
- Excellent length and body capacity
- Strong hindquarter shape
- Deep rib and flank
- Excellent foot quality
- Free and athletic movement
- Quiet temperament
- Strong sire character
- Slick coated
Importantly, his progeny are breeding true.
The females are developing into soft, fertile and highly efficient cows with the natural doing ability we place significant emphasis on within the Eaglehawk program. We have rising 2 year olds calving this spring and they are very broody and roomy.
The consistency we are seeing throughout the progeny confirms the confidence we had in both the individual bull and the maternal strength behind him.
Montana Jet combines maternal strength, efficiency and structural integrity in a package designed for long term commercial performance.

Alcatraz was brought into the program as an outcross option—and a very striking one at that. We were initially drawn to him for his outstanding phenotype, and after seeing his progeny across several herds in the U.S. we quickly realised he had more than just looks going for him.
He consistently sires cattle with presence, shape, and structural integrity. There’s a softness and balance to his progeny that really stood out to us—they carry natural doing ability without sacrificing style or soundness.
Alcatraz adds another string to our bow, offering something different in terms of pedigree while still ticking the boxes we care about. He brings depth to our herd and gives our clients access to proven, eye-catching genetics that perform where it counts.

Structure, style, genetic reach
”PEDIGREE
”MORE
We’ve followed the Schiefelbein program for a while, so it was great to visit their family operation in Minnesota and get a feel for the cattle behind the name.
We didn’t see Showman himself, but we saw plenty of his calves across different cow lines, and they were a standout group. Long bodied, structurally sound, and full of presence—he stamps them with a consistent and balanced type that’s easy to like.
On paper, Showman backs it up too. He sits in the top 3% for 200 day and top 8% for 400 day and yet his birthweight EBV is in the top 30%. That sort of spread—real world performance matched with standout data—is what makes him such an asset in a breeding program.
We’ve brought Showman in to extend our genetic reach without stepping away from the fundamentals. His progeny fit the mold we aim for, and we’re confident they’ll carry on that same value for our clients.
Ellingson Roughrider 4202
Reliable, proven, cow-maker
”PEDIGREE
”MORE
We visited Ellingson Angus in North Dakota in 2019 and it was immediately obvious how highly they regard Ellingson Roughrider 4202. He is literally the bull on the front gate. Stetson Ellingson told us Rough Rider has probably been their most prolific cow maker and you can see his influence throughout the herd. And it is a very smart herd.
We were drawn to Rough Rider for his ability to consistently breed functional females that are deep bodied, structurally correct and easy doing. That kind of reliability in cow making genetics is exactly what we continue to chase within our own program.
Rough Rider combines performance, longevity and maternal strength with genuine practicality. He is a wide based, deep bodied bull with excellent structure, sound feet and the kind of softness and capacity that holds cattle together over time.
What also stood out to us was just how heavily Rough Rider genetics continue to be used within progressive herds across North America. The influence he has had through programs such as Ellingson and Peak Dot gives us enormous confidence in the consistency and maternal strength he brings.
Rough Rider is a sire we have brought into the program with genuine confidence, knowing he has already proven himself where it matters most, in productive cow herds built around fertility, structure, longevity and doing ability.
Schiefelbein Attractive 4565
Muscle without Compromise
”PEDIGREE
”MORE
Schiefelbein Attractive 4565 became one of the most admired and heavily used sires in North America for good reason. Big bodied, stout featured and carrying exceptional foot quality and heel depth, Attractive combined phenotype, performance and structural integrity in a very complete package.
A proven sire of influential cattle including Showman, Amazon and IDO, Attractive consistently stamped his progeny with muscle, substance, presence and genuine Angus character. His sons have topped major sales across the United States, while his daughters are proving to be productive, broody females with excellent capacity and maternal quality.
We were certainly influenced by the fact that Peak Dot Ranch purchased Attractive to use within their own program, as we have always respected the type of cattle they breed. During the Covid years, when we were unable to travel to the United States ourselves, we leant heavily on the advice and observations of the network of breeders and cattlemen we trust most. Attractive 4565 was one sire that continued to be highly recommended from every direction.
It is perhaps a little unusual that we ended up using both Attractive and his son Showman within our breeding program, but we are certainly glad we did. Both sires have left the kind of cattle we admire, with power, softness, structural correctness and genuine herd bull presence.
We believe Attractive genetics continue to offer enormous value for our clients, particularly those wanting cattle with added body shape, muscle, doing ability and maternal strength, without sacrificing structure or practicality.
Musgrave Rob Roy
Built with Substance
”PEDIGREE
”MORE
Musgrave Rob Roy is a sire that immediately impressed us when we saw him at Musgrave Angus in Illinois. Powerful, thick made and carrying tremendous bone and substance, he is exactly the kind of bull we continue to search for.
A direct son of the record valued Musgrave Prim Lassie 329 cow family and by Baldridge SR Goalkeeper, Rob Roy combines pedigree strength with genuine phenotype. He carries tremendous rib shape, body depth and muscle expression, while still remaining balanced and athletic.
What really cemented our confidence in him, however, was seeing his first calves on the ground during that same trip. They were thick topped, bigger boned, attractive calves with real power and consistency throughout the group. Quite simply, they had the kind of look that makes you stop and take notice.
Rob Roy has the strength, bone and power that we strive for within our own program and importantly, he consistently passes those traits on. His progeny have genuine substance and capacity, while still maintaining the softness and practicality required to produce productive, long lasting females.
We believe Rob Roy has enormous value as a sire to add muscle, structural integrity and maternal strength, while laying down an exceptional female foundation within a herd.
Sitz Resilient 10208
Function, Fertility, Maternal Strength
”PEDIGREE
”MORE
We first encountered Resilient in Montana in 2019 and he immediately stood out. Wide based, deep bodied and athletic, he possessed the structural integrity and practical functionality we value so highly.
What impressed us even more were the calves we saw. Thick, soft, quiet natured cattle with excellent structure and consistency, they were exactly the type of cattle we strive to breed within our own program.
Backed by generations of proven Sitz maternal genetics, Resilient combines calving ease, fertility, foot quality and maternal strength in a package that is becoming increasingly difficult to find. His daughters are proving to be productive, functional females with excellent udders, while his sons offer genuine commercial appeal through their shape, softness and doing ability.
Although there are still relatively few Resilient progeny in Australia, his reputation continues to grow as more breeders discover the consistency, structural soundness and profitability he delivers.

He’s one of the most fertility focused sires in our team, offering excellent longevity,
maternal strength, and udder quality that holds up over time.
Phenotypically, Powerpoint is clean and powerful — tremendous muscling, excellent foot structure, and real Angus presence. He also ranks as a trait leader for marbling,
combining carcase quality with the kind of doing ability and temperament that make him a standout.
We’ve been impressed with his calves every step of the way. He’s a bull that delivers

Herd Sires
Here are some recent herd sires that will drive the Eaglehawk herd over the next few years.
We regularly travel to the United States to personally search for and inspect potential sires that will add value to and enhance our genetics and then by association, our clients herds, so these sires are what we regard as the most up to date, world’s best Angus Sires. For instance, the bull’s progeny and the breeding program from where they have originated is visited and assessed for suitability to Australian production systems and environment.
The maternal strength in a bulls pedigree is paramount to our decisions. As a result we have the added confidence the bulls have brought excellent balanced genetic profiles, phenotype and performance to the Eaglehawk cow herd with the depth of pedigree we insist on to use over our cows.
Our aim is to give our customers the best genetic advantage we possibly can to keep driving forward.

”PEDIGREE

U2 Coalition is a name that carries weight at Eaglehawk, and he’s exclusive to our program in Australia. When we visited Spickler Ranch South in North Dakota, his dam stopped us in our tracks—a powerhouse cow with depth, femininity, and the kind of presence that defines a
herd builder.
Coalition himself was every bit as impressive, with a striking phenotype that demanded attention.
His progeny, though, are where he truly shines. They’re not about flash—they’re about performance. His daughters are the kind of cattle we love: moderate, fertile, and built to last, with sound udders and quiet temperaments. We’ve kept the majority of his heifers born here, and they’re proving their worth as the backbone of our future. His sons, meanwhile, sold
solidly in the middle of last year’s sale—consistent, functional bulls that deliver for
commercial producers.
Coalition’s EBVs back up his real world impact. He ranks in the top 15% for 200-day weight and top 10% for 400-day weight, with a strong Eye Muscle Area EBV that reflects the muscle his calves carry. His calving ease adds versatility, making him a safe bet across a range of systems.
With Coalition now deceased and only limited semen stocks remaining, his legacy is one we’re proud to carry forward. He’s a bull that’s shaped our herd and will keep delivering for our clients who value cattle that work.

LD Capitalist 316 is a true standout in the Angus industry. His passing at the impressive age of 11 marks the end of an era, but his legacy is undeniable. Over the years, he’s proven himself as a powerhouse in the breeding game, consistently delivering calves with exceptional growth, structure, and performance.
From the start, Capitalist has been one of our go- to bulls, blending seamlessly with our herd and consistently stamping his progeny with a blend of power, muscle, and excellent temperament. His calves excel in both the paddock and the sale ring, making him a highly sought-after sire in the industry.
What sets Capitalist apart even further is his ability to leave us with outstanding
females—two of which are now part of our recent donor mob. Renowned for passing on
maternal strength, his daughters are proving to be foundational in our breeding program.
If you’re looking to add some serious genetics to your herd, now’s the time – there are only a handful of his progeny left available, and once they’re gone, that’s it. Don’t miss your chance to secure a top-quality Capitalist calf!

S A V Raindance 6848
Presence, performance, predictability
”PEDIGREE

We initially held off on using Raindance when he first came on the scene, due to some concerns about temperament. During a visit to a breeding centre in Billings, Montana, we saw several of his paternal brothers—and to be frank, they didn’t meet our standards for docility. That gave us pause.
But over the next couple of years, we kept a close eye on Raindance’s progeny and did our homework. What we saw consistently—both on paper and on the ground—gave us the confidence to bring him into our program. We’re glad we did.
Raindance brings the muscle, length, and structure we look for, with the added bonus of consistency across both sons and daughters. His calves have impressed us with their depth, balance, and notably, their quiet nature.

”MORE
Firebrand is one of our “wildcards” — a sire we selected without seeing him or his progeny firsthand. He was a calculated choice, based on the strength of his pedigree, structural integrity, and the confidence we’ve built through trusted contacts in North America.
What drew us in was his maternal depth. Firebrand is backed by some of the Angus breed’s most proven cow families. His dam has already left her mark, producing multiple high-sellers — including Firebrand himself, who was among the top-priced bulls in Canada in 2017.
On paper, Firebrand brings curve bending performance, ranking in the top 1% for weaning weight, yearling weight, milk, total maternal, and carcase weight. Phenotypically, he offers balance, length, muscle, and excellent structure — particularly strong feet — wrapped in a
powerful, athletic frame. He sires calves with presence, hair, and that extra layer of market appeal.
Firebrand has been widely used in progressive North American programs, with consistent feedback around his ability to breed longevity, structure, and type. He’s already making his mark in our herd, and we expect his influence will carry forward — both here and in the herds of clients looking for bulls that combine maternal power, growth, and visual appeal.

This unique herd sire breeds very consistently wide topped, naturally deep, thick carcase cattle. He would be considered an outcross to the majority of breeders in Australia which is a positive. He is a true curve bending bull as his calves are generally light and then they explode to the top of the group by 400 days. If you need to thicken your herd whilst keeping the cows feminine (with the added bonus of great udders), Kozi will do this. We have the only Kozi calves in Australia and he is now deceased. We really like how he has influenced our cow herd. If you are looking to thicken your herd and inject some strong maternal traits, you cannot go wrong.

He isn’t too shabby on breeding thick, fast growing heavy steer calves also.

a wide range of markets.
He consistently sires cattle that are moderate, correct, and carry muscle and substance in a practical, easy doing frame. His progeny have an unforced presence, with added fleshing ability and muscle shape that shows up where it matters most.
He’s also a standout for maternal value, add to that his proven strength in foot quality and hair shedding genetics, and you have a sire that’s helping shape one of the most dominant and functional sire lines in the Angus breed today.

Payweight R148 is a moderate, thick, and structurally sound bull by Basin Payweight 1682, bred for growth, muscle, and carcase quality.
He’s a twin raised on a first calf heifer, and it speaks volumes about his dam’s quality and maternal ability that both calves not only thrived — but one went on to sell for $23,000, and the other was kept as a sire. R148 isn’t suited to heifers, but over cows he’s proving himself, with daughters showing strong fertility, tidy udders, and efficient, easy-keeping type.
His data backs what we see: top 5% for 200-day weight, top 15% for 400-day, and top 20% for carcase weight. He’s a reliable homebred bull from a cow that earned her place — and then some.
Eaglehawk Trapper R112
Muscle, maturity maternal strength
”PEDIGREE
”MORE
Eaglehawk Trapper R112 is a homebred bull with depth, presence, and the kind of maternal power we value. He’s sired by Paintrock Trapper, a bull we selected after seeing his progeny firsthand in Montana. What sealed it for us was not just the cattle, but where they were bred — a tough, program in northern Wyoming, where they run one cow to 100 acres in the high desert at 10000 feet above sea level. It’s country that demands genuine functionality — and Trapper delivered it, with a softness and do-ability you don’t always find in that kind
of landscape.
R112 is a great example of what that bloodline brings: thick-bodied, sound, and moderate, with strong structure and no extremes. He’s not a heifer bull, but over cows, he’s consistently produced muscular, balanced progeny with real doing ability.
R112 ranks in the top 30% for 200-day weight, offering growth without compromising cow efficiency. He blends muscle, maternal strength, and longevity — all in a homebred package built for commercial return.

Eaglehawk Innovation M224 is a moderate, deep-bodied sire with sound structure and a beautifully quiet nature. Sired by MAR Innovation, he breeds consistent, adaptable cattle that perform across environments. His figures don’t tell the full story, but his calves speak for him — tidy, reliable, and
easy to work with. Just two sons in the sale this year

His figures back it up: top 10% for 200, 400, and 600-day growth, top 5% for carcase weight, top 10% for retail beef yield, and top 20% for EMA.
He’s a sire that breeds true, lifts consistency, and adds quiet value where it matters. He is also the full flush brother to the top selling $80,000 bull we sold to Graneta Angus in 2023.
Eaglehawk Heavyweight R100
Consistent, quiet and efficient

His progeny have been consistent, showing good weight for age and tidy structure. With a Birth Weight EBV of +2.7, R100 offers calving ease without sacrificing growth. This gives us confidence in the accuracy of our selections when we choose a bull for the Eaglehawk herd as we need to cut out all guess work.
EBV’s that we consider to be most objective when measured correctly are:
Gestation length, birth weight, 200,400,600 day weights, (when weighed at those ages), mature cow weight (weighed when her calf is 200 days), scrotal, EMA (scanned at 200 days), rib and rump fat and IMF (all scanned at 600 days).
We offered more bulls that we believe are the type to make you the most profit. Fertility is inherently linked to positive fat and moderation. We have moderate framed bulls that are thick, deep and easy doing. Our cattle marble so you won’t see the number game happening here. If it was a matter of choosing a bull with the biggest number values our job would be easy! What we are doing is breeding balance across all traits and a definite phenotype.
Perhaps the most pleasing feature of this year’s sale was the quality of the bulls by our homebred sires. These bulls and their progeny are absolutely the “Eaglehawk Type”. Anyway we look forward to bringing you our next lot of bulls in August next year and hope to see you here.
